Islands of Nyne: Battle Royale is an online, competitive, first-person shooter inspired by works such as Battle Royale and The Hunger Games. 100 players per match. 3 ever-shrinking arenas. Drop in, find a weapon, and stay alive... for only 1 can emerge victorious. The rest must die!
100 PLAYERS PER MATCH
Kill, outrun, or consort your way to victory amongst 99 other players in timed matches that last up to 30 minutes.
MULTIPLE GAME MODES
Not everyone’s a lone wolf. Team up with a friend in Doubles mode or queue up as a team in 5-Man.
3 LARGE-SCALE MAPS
Designed by a technologically superior alien race, each arena is engineered to provide a unique and obstacle-ridden battlefield designed to reward tactical decision making.
Play against others at your skill level and win bigger payouts. Advance in rank and unlock special tier armor, distinguishing yourself from the rest as an elite.
Earn rare armor sets, weapon skins, game currency, and more depending on how long you can outlast the competition.
PLAYER BETTING SYSTEM
Use in-game currency to place bets on individual players or teams. Spend winnings on new armor pieces or weapon skins at the in-game store.
How can I keep up with game updates?
What platforms will it be on?
PC (Windows)at first. Mac, Ps4, Xbox One, and the HTC Vive shortly after.
When will it be out?
Who’s developing Islands of Nyne: Battle Royale?
Define Human Studios. We’re a small but growing team of passionate gamers and talented game designers with a desire to offer a unique multiplayer experience that competes with the top online FPS’s currently available. As both serious gamers and our own publishers, our vision is to deliver a compelling game, free of the many pay-to-win or pay-to-play monetization strategies that plague the market today.
What kind of universe is it set in?
A distant and advanced alien civilization entertains themselves with a pastime held above all others -- a massive scale, gladiator-style bloodsport where Humans, chosen from Earth, are set against each other in a 100 player deathmatch. The arenas are orbiting fragments of a once unbroken planet, scattered throughout the solar system and transformed into murderous domes known only as The Islands of Nyne.
Will it be bloody?
You bet your ass it’ll be bloody! Prepare yourself for those annoying birthday validation fields that never work.
What engine are you using?
Unreal Engine 4 baby! (why do you think our screenshots look so damn good?)
Will there be any crafting or building in the game?
Not in the foreseeable future. We want to dedicate all of our resources to making this game a fast-paced, well-balanced, and competitive online FPS with multiple gametypes. However, we do intend to look into implementing a trap system or something similar down the road.
How long will each match last?
We’re currently looking at 25-30 minutes a match but we’ll be monitoring match-pace closely during testing so that we hit the sweet spot. The pace is set by a damaging plasma field that is released from the perimeter of the map in stages, funneling players into progressively tighter combat situations.
How much will it cost when it’s released?
Why are you guys launching a Kickstarter?
This shit’s expensive! We’ve invested a hefty amount into our prototype already but it’s no-where near full release. There’s so much more we want to add and we’d like to get the community involved in these decisions as much as possible. Your voices will be heard!
Why Steam Early Access?
Put away the pitchfork and let me explain! First of all, we refuse to release an Early Access game riddled with game-breaking bugs and exploits. Ours will be very playable, and very fun. The reason we’re going Early Access is so we can properly gauge the community's response (you guys) to certain unique features we have planned. This game is all about balance, gameplay, performance, and everything else that makes or breaks an online FPS. We hope that by going Early Access before full release will make the end product all that more enjoyable.
Can I play in third-person?
Nope. A proper first person shooter is exactly what it sounds like ;)
